Sorry, Thor and Batman. Deadpool has just become my new favorite costumed superhero. 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool trailers confirm February 2016 is too long to wait for the first solo film featuring the Merc with a Mouth, a character who loves to break the fourth wall. Both the restricted and non-restricted trailers provide a little setup of the story before making way for incredible action scenes.

Directed by Tim Miller, Ryan Reynolds leads a cast that includes Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand.

Deadpool will open in theaters on February 12, 2016.

The Plot: Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
