Pixar’s first teaser trailer for Elio finds the titular character mistakenly abducted by aliens looking for the leader of Earth. Elio’s just a kid, but now he’s got to step it up and represent all humans in front of the weird assortment of beings who make up the Communiverse.
Yonas Kibreab voices Elio and America Ferrera is Elio’s mom, Olga. Jameela Jamil and Brad Garrett have just been added to the cast as Ambassador Questa and Ambassador Grigon, respectively.
The two-minute teaser arrived along with a poster and two stills from the family-friendly, alien-friendly adventure.
Directed by Adrian Molina (screenwriter / co-director of Coco), the 28th film from Pixar Animation Studios will open in theaters on March 1, 2024.

“For centuries, people have called out to the universe looking for answers — in Disney and Pixar’s all-new movie Elio, the universe calls back! The original feature film introduces Elio, an underdog with an active imagination who finds himself inadvertently beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide.
Mistakenly identified as Earth’s ambassador to the rest of the universe, and completely unprepared for that kind of pressure, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, survive a series of formidable trials and somehow discover who he is truly meant to be.”
