‘Fair Play’ Trailer with Alden Ehrenreich and Phoebe Dynevor

Fair Play‘s trailer begins on a happy note as a young couple explores their relationship which they’re forced to keep secret from their co-workers. But a drastic change at work has dire consequences, shifting the dynamics and altering their personal lives.

Alden Ehrenreich, currently killing it in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, and Bridgerton‘s Phoebe Dynevor play the couple in the complicated, destructive relationship. Eddie Marsan (The Power) stars as their boss.

Chloe Domont (Ballers) wrote, executive produced, and directed the R-rated psychological thriller. T-Street’s Leopold Hughes and Ben LeClair produce, along with Star Thrower’s Tim White, Trevor White, and Allan Mandelbaum. Anđelka Vlaisavljević and T-Street’s Ram Bergman and Rian Johnson executive produce.

Discusing the film in an interview with Netflix, Domont said this story was burning inside of her and had to be told.

“I wanted to reckon with some unresolved feelings I had in the past, specifically dating men who I felt were threatened by either my ambition or any little bits of accomplishments,” explained Domont, prior to the strike. “These dynamics should no longer be normalized.”

Fair Play will open in select theaters on September 29, 2023, followed by a release on Netflix on October 13th.
