Showing off a new one minute clip is Disney’s animated film Frozen now playing in theaters, going up against the second weekend of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Spike Lee’s remake of Oldboy, and Jason Statham’s latest action film, Homefront. There are a lot of choices this holiday weekend, however Frozen‘s all alone when it comes to family-friendly entertainment. Plus, it has the whole wintery-theme complete with a talking snowman going for it as well as the fact that it’s a product of the Mouse House. But will it be strong enough to take first place away from the Hunger Games franchise’s second entry? Pre-release estimates had the two films engaged in a tough battle for the top of the box office chart, but the odds aren’t in Frozen‘s favor to topple the current box office leader.
Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph, presents Frozen, a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf (voice of Josh Gad), Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
