‘Gloria Bell’ Trailer: Julianne Moore is Living Her Best Life

A24’s showing off the official trailer and poster for the romantic comedy Gloria Bell. If the praise pushed in the trailer’s to be believed, Sebastián Lelio, director of the Best Foreign Language Oscar-winning film A Fantastic Woman, delivers another buzzworthy film centered on a strong female character with Gloria Bell. Lelio remade his own film, 2013’s Gloria, and Oscar winner Julianne Moore (Still Alice) stars in the titular role.

Julianne Moore was most recently seen in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Suburbicon, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, and Maps to the Stars.

In addition to Julianne Moore, the cast includes John Turturro (The Night Of), Michael Cera (Arrested Development), Caren Pistorius (The Blue Rose), Brad Garrett (I’m Dying Up Here), Jeanne Tripplehorn (Criminal Minds), Rita Wilson (My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2), Sean Astin (Stranger Things), and Holland Taylor (Mr. Mercedes).

Ben Browning, Rocío Jadue, and Shea Kammer served as executive producers, and writer/director Lelio, Juan de Dios Larraín, and Pablo Larraín produced. The behind the scenes team includes director of photography Natasha Braier, editor Soledad Salfate, and art director Shannon Walsh, with music by Matthew Herbert.

A24 has set a March 8, 2019 theatrical release date.

The Gloria Bell Plot:

“Gloria (Julianne Moore) is a free-spirited divorcée who spends her days at a straight-laced office job and her nights on the dance floor, joyfully letting loose at clubs around Los Angeles. After meeting Arnold (John Turturro) on a night out, she finds herself thrust into an unexpected new romance, filled with both the joys of budding love and the complications of dating, identity, and family.”

From Academy Award-winning director Sebastián Lelio comes a sophisticated romantic comedy that shows love can strike at any time, relationships are never simple, and nothing can get you down as long as you keep dancing.”
