Director James Gunn has unveiled the first poster for the much-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Returning cast members include Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana as Gamora; Dave Bautista as Drax; Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker as Yondu; Karen Gillan as Nebula; and Sean Gunn as Kraglin. Joining the Galaxy world for the sequel are Kurt Russell, Chris Sullivan, Elizabeth Debicki, and Pom Klementieff.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige produced, and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz, Nik Korda and Stan Lee executive produced. The first Guardians of the Galaxy opened in theaters on August 1, 2014 and pulled in more than $770 million. Its launch earned it the title of the most successful debut film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opened in theaters on May 5, 2017.
