A psychic alien figures out Star-Lord is in love and Drax finds that absolutely hilarious, but it’s Baby Groot who really steals the first official trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The trailer debuted during the Comic Con Experience 2016 in São Paulo, Brazil, with director James Gunn showing it off to attendees before Marvel Studios and Disney released it online. The 2017 sequel reunites Chris Pratt as Pete Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Vin Diesel as Groot, Michael Rooker as Yondu, and Karen Gillan as Nebula.
The first Guardians of the Galaxy was released on August 1, 2014. Guardians of the Galaxy made $94 million domestically over its opening weekend and went on to gross $773 million worldwide before exiting theaters. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to open in theaters on May 5, 2017.
