‘Happy Gilmore 2’ News: Teaser, July Date and Photos

Netflix released a batch of goodies from the upcoming, long-awaited Happy Gilmore sequel, Happy Gilmore 2. The streamer unveiled a minute-and-a-half teaser that shows Happy hitting the links again, looking for his happy place, and taking the iconic Happy Gilmore swing.

Adam Sandler reprises his role as the titular character, with the original comedy’s Julie Bowen, Ben Stiller, and Christopher McDonald joining him in the sequel. Newcomers include Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny), Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, and Blake Clark. The cast also includes Conor Sherry, Ethan Cutkosky, Philip Fine Schneider, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Travis Kelce, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, and Paige Spiranic.

Happy Gilmore 2 premieres on Netflix on July 25, 2025.

The original film opened in February 1996 and was directed by Dennis Dugan. The sequel’s directed by Murder Mystery‘s Kyle Newacheck, with Dugan involved as an executive producer. Sandler and the first film’s Tim Herlihy wrote the screenplay and serve as producers along with Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds. Additional executive producers include Judit Maull, Kevin Grady, Barry Bernardi, David Bausch, and Dan Bulla.
