Roadside Attractions, Lionsgate, and Saban Films just released the trailer for A Hologram for the King, the dramatic film based on Dave Eggers’ 2012 bestselling novel. Tom Tykwer (Cloud Atlas, Sense 8) adapted Eggers’ novel, which was a National Book Award finalist, for the screen and directs. Tom Hanks stars alongside Ben Whishaw (In the Heart of the Sea), Tom Skerritt (Brothers & Sisters), and Sarita Choudhury (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2). A Hologram for the King will open in theaters on April 22, 2016.

The Plot: Cultures collide when an American businessman (Tom Hanks) is sent to Saudi Arabia to close what he hopes will be the deal of a lifetime. Baffled by local customs and stymied by an opaque bureaucracy, he eventually finds his footing with the help of a wise-cracking taxi driver (Alexander Black) and a beautiful Saudi doctor (Sarita Choudhury).
