The first official restricted (as in not safe for work or for kids) trailer has arrived for the comedy movie Keanu starring Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, and Keanu the kitten. The comedy comes from writers Jordan Peele and Alex Rubens (Key & Peele) and was directed by Peter Atencio (also from Key & Peele). The cast also includes Method Man, Tiffany Haddish, Jason Mitchell, Luis Guzman, Nia Long, and Will Forte. New Line Cinema’s aiming for an April 29, 2016 theatrical release.
The Plot:
Key and Peele play Clarence and Rell, cousins who live in the city but are far from streetwise. When Rell’s beloved kitten, Keanu, is catnapped, the hopelessly straight-laced pair must impersonate ruthless killers in order to infiltrate a street gang and retrieve the purloined feline. But the incredibly adorable kitten becomes so coveted that the fight over his custody creates a gang war, forcing our two unwitting heroes to take the law into their own hands.
