Lauren Miller Rogen makes her feature film directorial debut with Like Father which just debuted its first full official trailer. The 2018 comedy film features Kristen Bell (The Good Place) as a woman left at the altar and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Kelsey Grammer (Frasier, The Simpsons) as her estranged father who shows up out of nowhere to witness the worst day of her life.
The cast also includes Seth Rogen (writer/director/producer Lauren Miller Rogen’s spouse), Brittany Ross (The Middle), Zach Appelman (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Danielle Davenport (Sneaky Pete), Lenny Jacobson (Frequency, Halt and Catch Fire), and Brian McCarthy (The Deuce). Vincent Morano and Erika Hampson executive produced and Anders Bard, Amanda Bowers, and Molly Conners served as producers.
Lauren Miller Rogen’s behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Seamus Tierney, editor Mollie Goldstein, production designer Charisse Cardenas, and costume designer Brenda Abbandandolo.
Like Father will arrive on Netflix on Friday, August 3, 2018.
The Plot: When a workaholic young executive (Kristen Bell), is left at the altar, she ends up on her Caribbean honeymoon cruise with the last person she ever expected: her estranged and equally workaholic father (Kelsey Grammer). The two depart as strangers, but over the course of a few hilarious adventures, a couple of umbrella-clad cocktails and a whole lot of soul-searching, they return with a renewed appreciation for family and life.
