Seth Rogen plays a journalist who runs into his former babysitter (Charlize Theron), now the Secretary of State who’s running for president, in the comedy, Long Shot. The new two and a half minute trailer makes repeated references to Theron being out of Rogen’s league, even comparing the possibility of the two dating to if Kate Middleton were to date Danny DeVito.
There’s also a few sweet moments, some physical comedy, and a reverse Pretty Woman bit with Theron handling the Richard Gere part and Rogen the Julia Roberts character, in the official trailer.
In addition to Oscar winner Charlize Theron (Monster) and Seth Rogen (Neighbors), the cast includes O’Shea Jackson Jr, Andy Serkis, June Diane Raphael, Bob Odenkirk, and Alexander Skarsgard.
Rogen reunites with the director of 50/50 and The Night Before, Jonathan Levine, for the 2019 comedy from writers Dan Sterling and Liz Hannah. And, Rogen and Theron served as produces along with A.J. Dix, Beth Kono, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver.
Lionsgate and Summit are set to release Long Shot in theaters on May 3, 2019.
