‘The Magnificent Seven’ Trailer: Introducing the Seven

Antoine Fuqua’s new version of The Magnificent Seven, the classic Western that starred Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson, is set to open in theaters on September 23, 2016 and MGM and Columbia Pictures have just released the first official trailer. The first look at the action drama set in the Wild West features lots of gunslinging, some humor, things blowing up, and an explanation as to why seven outlaws are working together to help out a town.

Denzel Washington reunites with his Training Day and The Equalizer director for this new take on the classic story which also stars Chris Pratt, Vincent D’Onofrio, Haley Bennett, Ethan Hawke, Peter Sarsgaard, Byung-Hun Lee, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Martin Sensmeier. Nic Pizzolatto and Richard Wenk wrote the screenplay, and Roger Birnbaum and Todd Black produced the new The Magnificent Seven.

The Plot: With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns – Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.
