Open Road Films has unveiled the first three photos from the romantic drama, Midnight Sun. The first photos from the film feature Midnight Sun‘s stars Bella Thorne (Famous in Love) and Patrick Schwarzenegger (The Long Road Home). Additional cast members include Rob Riggle, Quinn Shephard, and Ken Tremblett. Midnight Sun‘s based on Taiyô no uta by Kenji Bando and was adapted by Eric Kirsten, with Scott Speer (Finding Carter, Step Up Revolution) directing.
Open Road Films is targeting a March 30, 2018 theatrical release.
The Plot: Midnight Sun, an epic romantic drama, follows 17-year-old Katie Price (Thorne), sheltered since childhood with a life-threatening sensitivity to sunlight. Katie’s world opens up after dark when she ventures out to play her guitar for travelers. One night, she meets Charlie (Schwarzenegger) whom she has secretly admired for years. She hides her condition from him, and the two embark on a uniquely powerful romance. Rob Riggle plays Katie’s loving and compassionate father, Jack, who endeavors to give his daughter a good life.
