‘Murder Mystery’ Trailer: Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler Try to Solve a Murder

Adam Sandler debuted the trailer for his upcoming comedy Murder Mystery while visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The new comedy finds Sandler and Jennifer Aniston playing a married couple celebrating their honeymoon on board a glitzy yacht, courtesy of a stranger Aniston’s character makes friends with on a plane. A gunshot’s heard and Sandler and Aniston are thrust into the heart of a murder investigation in which they’re fingered for the crime.

The 2019 original movie marks the reunion of the two comedy stars. Sandler and Aniston previously co-starred in 2011’s Just Go with It, a PG-13 comedy directed by Dennis Dugan.

In addition to Aniston and Sandler, the cast includes Gemma Arterton (Runner Runner), Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast), Luis Gerardo Mendez (Club de Cuervos), and Terence Stamp (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children). Kyle Newacheck (Workaholics) directed from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt (Independence Day: Resurgence).

Netflix has set a June 14, 2019 premiere date on the streaming service.

Up next for Adam Sandler is his very first Saturday Night Live hosting gig. The SNL veteran will return to the series as host on May 4th. Sandler is also scheduled to kick off his new comedy tour on May 31st.

Jennifer Aniston just wrapped up filming the first season of Apple’s The Morning Show co-starring Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Mark Duplass. Aniston’s recent film credits include Dumplin, The Yellow Bird, and Office Christmas Party.
