Nicholas Hoult (soon to be seen in Jack the Giant Slayer) stars as a zombie named R in the zombie romantic comedy, Warm Bodies. And Hoult, whose credits include About a Boy, A Single Man, and X-Men: First Class, explains in this video courtesy of Summit Entertainment why Warm Bodies is more than just a genre film. He also talks about his character’s need to connect, the similarities between zombies and people, and the two types of zombies featured in Warm Bodies.
After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.
