‘Nocturnal Animals’ Stars Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal Discuss the Film

Focus Features’ latest video in support of the theatrical release of Nocturnal Animals features the film’s stars, Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal, discussing the theme of unrequited love as well as their characters. Nocturnal Animals is one of the films Focus Features is pushing for awards consideration following its win of the Grand Jury prize at this year’s Venice International Film Festival. The R-rated drama was adapted for the screen from Austin Wright’s Tony and Susan by Tom Ford (A Single Man) who also directed the romantic thriller. In addition to Adams and Gyllenhaal, the cast includes Michael Shannon, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Isla Fisher, Karl Glusman, Armie Hammer, Laura Linney, Andrea Riseborough, and Michael Sheen.

Nocturnal Animals will begin its theatrical run in select cities on November 18th. Additional cities will be added on November 23rd, followed by a wide release on December 9th.

The Plot: From writer/director Tom Ford comes a haunting romantic thriller of shocking intimacy and gripping tension that explores the thin lines between love and cruelty, and revenge and redemption. Academy Award nominees Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal star as a divorced couple discovering dark truths about each other and themselves in Nocturnal Animals.
