A24’s Onslaught is following up its San Diego Comic-Con appearance with the online release of the new trailer. The trailer starts off innocently enough with a mom and daughter stopping to pick up snacks. But from that calm beginning, the trailer explodes into pretty much non-stop actions.
Adria Arjona, Dan Stevens, Eric Wareheim, Reginald VelJohnson, and Michael Biehn star. The cast of the R-rated thriller also includes Alex Pereira, Drew Starkey, and Rebecca Hall.
A24’s synopsis reads, “When a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers break loose in the desert, a badass army sniper must unleash hell to protect her young daughter.”
Adam Wingard (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Godzilla vs Kong) and Simon Barrett came up with the story, and Wingard directs from Barrett’s screenplay. Wingard, Barrett, Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swett, Jeremy Platt, and Alexander Black serve as producers.
Wingard’s behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Oren Soffer, production designer Tom Hammock, editors Josh Schaeffer and Adam Avery, and costume designer Alexis Forte. Matthew Pusti composed the music.
