Those adorable pups devoted to rescue are back on the big screen, and this time they’re joined by dinosaurs in the 2026 animated adventure film, PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie.
The film begins with a daring rescue at sea involving a family on their yacht threatened by an out-of-control fire. Once the family is safe, the PAW Patrol heads out but gets caught up in a major storm and crash-lands on a mysterious, uncharted tropical island.
Ryder (voiced by newcomer Henry Bolan), the PAW Patrol leader, finds himself stranded with his brave pup team. The team consists of Skye, a daring cockapoo pilot (voiced again by Mckenna Grace); Marshall, a clumsy dalmatian fire pup (voiced by Carter Young); Chase, a police officer and spy pup (voiced by Rain Janjua); Rubble, the construction pup (voiced by Lucien Duncan-Reid); Rocky, the fix-it pup (voiced by William Desrosiers); and Zuma, the water rescue pup (voiced by Nylan Parthipan).
The brave pups explore the island and quickly discover it’s inhabited by prehistoric creatures! Ryder and his pup team are running for their lives when Marshall accidentally crashes into Rex (voiced by Hayden Chamberlan), a pup who is an expert on dinosaurs and has lived on the island with them for more than two years. Oh, and the big surprise is that the dinosaurs are friendly. Yes, even the gigantic, scary-looking T-Rex becomes pals with the PAW Patrol. Rhubarb, the little baby T-Rex, quickly becomes best pals with Marshall after Marshall saves him from drowning while going over a waterfall.
Realizing that Dino Island, as Ryder names it, is the greatest discovery of all time, he quickly shares its location with civilization. News crews and dinosaur experts from all over the globe come to explore and learn all they can.
When the PAW Patrol’s old nemesis, Mayor Humdinger (voiced again by Ron Pardo), sees the news coverage of Dino Island and the evidence of the biggest diamond mine of all time on it, he heads out to get rich by blasting the diamond mine.
Unfortunately, all the blasting reawakens the huge dormant volcano on the island, and it erupts with fire and burning lava, which threatens to destroy the island and everything on it. So, it’s up to the PAW Patrol and their new dinosaur best friends to not only rescue everyone but also find a way to save Dino Island.
Cute, colorful, and with solid messages for children, PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie is an action-packed adventure for children eight and under. The kid-friendly animated adventure is full of exciting and fun action scenes. Especially impressive is the scene where Marshall must save Rhubarb from drowning while they are both traveling quickly toward a giant waterfall. Another eye-popping action scene is near the end, where the pups and dinosaurs are racing to get away from the fast-moving lava.
PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie bursts to life thanks to its talented voice cast, including Mckenna Grace, Carter Young, Hayden Chamberlan, Ron Pardo, science icon Bill Nye, and Snoop Dogg. This third adventure ups the animation game, packing Dino Island with wild, vibrant colors that jump off the screen. It’s a visual treat for viewers of all ages, not just its intended demographic.
The film also has positive messages for kids about never giving up and that making mistakes is how a person or pup learns and grows. PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie is a worthy addition to the popular franchise. Even adults will find it mildly entertaining. C’mon, it’s adorable pups and dinosaurs. What’s not to like?!
