‘Permission’ Debuts a Trailer and Poster with Dan Stevens and Rebecca Hall

Good Deed Entertainment’s released the new trailer for Permission along with a poster featuring the film’s stars. Rebecca Hall (The Gift, Professor Marston and the Wonder Women) and Dan Stevens (Beauty and the Beast, Downton Abbey, Legion) co-star in the romantic drama playing a married couple who’ve never dated, much less slept with, anyone else.

Written and directed by Brian Crano (A Bag of Hammers, Dog Food), Permission was produced by Rebecca Hall, Margot Hand, Giri Tharan, and Joshua Thurston. In addition to Rebecca Hall and Dan Stevens, the cast includes Gina Gershon (Empire, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Francois Arnaud (Midnight, Texas, Blindspot), David Joseph Craig (The Gift, Boy Erased), Morgan Spector (Chuck, Boardwalk Empire), and Jason Sudeikis (Son of Zorn, The Last Man on Earth).

Permission is set to open in theaters on February 9, 2018.

Rebecca Hall also has A Rainy Day in New York from writer/director Woody Allen opening in theaters in 2018. Hall also recently completed work on Holmes and Watson with Will Ferrell as Sherlock Holmes and John C. Reilly as Watson. Stevens has The Man Who Invented Christmas now playing in theaters and has Apostle from writer/director Gareth Evans and co-starring Lucy Boynton likely heading to theaters next year.

The Plot: Anna (Hall) and Will (Stevens), were each other’s first every-things: first kiss, first love, first and only relationship. Now, 10 years in, at Anna’s 30th birthday party, as Will is about to propose, the couple’s best friend makes a drunken toast, suggesting that they should sleep around before their inevitable marriage. The joke lands like a lead balloon, but the thought lingers until Anna proposes that they try opening their relationship – as a sexual experiment. Together, they venture out of the purely monogamous boundaries of their relationship and, along the way, evolve.
