‘Plane’ Trailer: Gerard Butler and Mike Colter Fight for Their Lives

The trailer for Lionsgate’s Plane seems to give away a lot of what’s in store, showing midair turbulence is the least of the plane’s passengers’ worries. The trailer also shows the pilot (Gerard Butler, Angel Has Fallen) will be forced to team up with a prisoner (Mike Colter, Evil) to save the passengers from certain death.

The cast also includes Yoson An, Daniella Pineda, Paul Ben-Victor, Remi Adeleke, Joey Slotnick, Evan Dane Taylor, Claro de los Reyes, and Tony Goldwyn. Jean-François Richet directed the action thriller from a screenplay by Charles Cumming and J.P. Davis.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian, Marc Butan, Gerard Butler, and Alan Siegel produced.

Lionsgate hasn’t announced a theatrical release date.

The Plot:

In the white-knuckle action movie Plane, pilot Brodie Torrance (Butler) saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island – only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning. When most of the passengers are taken hostage by dangerous rebels, the only person Torrance can count on for help is Louis Gaspare (Colter), an accused murderer who was being transported by the FBI.

In order to rescue the passengers, Torrance will need Gaspare’s help, and will learn there’s more to Gaspare than meets the eye.
