‘Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2’ New Trailer Features Disney Princesses and Storm Troopers

The new trailer for Disney’s animated sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 acknowledges that the film should have been titled Ralph Wrecks the Internet, since the lead character’s name is Wreck-It Ralph. When Wreck-It Ralph questions the choice of title, he’s told “breaks the internet” is a thing although “wrecks the internet” does sound better.

The new two and a half minute trailer also finds Vanellope meeting the Disney Princesses, and the Princesses welcoming her as one of their own as they bond over the fact they’re tired of storylines in which men rescue them.

The voice cast is led by John C. Reilly as Ralph and Sarah Silverman as Vanellope von Schweetz. It also includes Taraji P. Henson, Jack McBrayer, and Jane Lynch. Rich Moore (Zootopia, Wreck-It Ralph) and Phil Johnston (co-writer Wreck-It Ralph, Cedar Rapids) co-directed the film. Co-director Johnston and Pamela Ribon wrote the screenplay.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-Ralph 2 will open in theaters on Nov. 21, 2018.

The Plot: Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush.

In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet—the netizens—to help navigate their way, including a webite entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site “BuzzzTube.”
