Never say yes to making a special delivery in Raccoon City. The official Resident Evil trailer shows a hospital delivery guy agreeing to a delivery that could possibly lead to his death.
The reboot of the video game-inspired series stars Austin Abrams as the guy who sets off a chain of terrifying events when he agrees to make an organ delivery at Raccoon City Hospital. Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, and Paul Walter Hauser also star.
Weapons‘ Zach Cregger directs and co-wrote the screenplay with Shay Hatten. Cregger, Robert Kulzer, Roy Lee, Victor Hadida, Asad Qizilbash, and Carter Swan serve as producers. Executive producers include Oliver Berben, Richard Wright, and Robert Bernacci.
“From the mind of visionary filmmaker Zach Cregger comes a thrilling—and terrifying—reinvention of the Resident Evil franchise,” reads Columbia Pictures’ synopsis. “In an all-new story, Resident Evil follows Bryan (Abrams), a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.”
Resident Evil will open in theaters on September 18, 2026.
