CinemaCon named Rose Byrne this year’s Female Star of the Year and before accepting her award at the Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony at Caesars Palace in Vegas, she took part in a press conference to discuss her upcoming films. Next up for Byrne is a starring role in the 20th Century Fox comedy Spy which reunites her with Bridesmaids director Paul Feig and Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy.

During the press conference, she talked about working on that R-rated comedy and confirmed she’ll be back for Neighbors 2. She also discussed getting a chance to tackle comedy roles.

The Spy Plot: Susan Cooper (McCarthy) is an unassuming, deskbound CIA analyst and the unsung hero behind the Agency’s most dangerous missions. But when her partner (Jude Law) falls off the grid and another top agent (Jason Statham) is compromised, she volunteers to go deep undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer and prevent a global disaster.
