‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ First Video Arrives During the Super Bowl

The first teaser footage from Lucasfilm’s Solo: A Star Wars Story premiered during the 2018 Super Bowl, showing off one minute of footage from the Han Solo project. The first look video was really just a teaser for the full teaser trailer which will arrive on February 5, 2018.

Disney and Lucasfilm are set to launch Solo: A Star Wars Story in theaters on May 25, 2018.

The film stars Alden Ehrenreich (Rules Don’t Apply, Beautiful Creatures) as Han Solo, Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett, Emilia Clarke as Qi’Ra, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Paul Bettany, and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. Ron Howard directed from a script by Jon Kasdan and Lawrence Kasdan.

The Plot: Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
