Following its debut at the 2017 CinemaCon, Sony Pictures brought the second trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming online along with a few new photos of the webslinger and Michael Keaton. Director Jon Watts, producers by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, and Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland took the stage at the annual gathering of National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) to unveil the trailer and briefly discuss the film. Holland said he was glad to be back at CinemaCon where last year he helped reveal the film’s title, and Feige confirmed this Spider-Man film is the first that’s set entirely while Peter Parker is in high school.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is also the first Spider-Man film in which the webslinger is part of the MCU. Peter is well aware of the Avengers and is friends with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr). Sony’s set a July 7, 2017 theatrical release.

The Plot: A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Downey Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
