I actually thought this film was already in and out of theaters…but I was wrong. Instead, The Canyons will be hitting theaters in New York on August 2, 2013 and in LA on August 9th. It will also be available on VOD and iTunes on August 2nd for those interested who don’t reside in either city.
Anyway, the point of this discussion of The Canyons is that two new photos from the film have arrived featuring troubled celebrity/actress Lindsay Lohan. The cast also includes James Deen and Nolan Gerard Funk, with Paul Schrader directing off of a Bret Easton Ellis script.
The Plot:
While calculating young movie producer Christian (Deen) makes films to keep his trust fund intact, his actress girlfriend, Tara (Lohan), hides an affair with an actor from her past. But Christian becomes aware of her infidelity, which leads the young Angelenos into a violent, sexually charged tour through the dark side of human nature.
