New Line Cinema returns to the world of paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren with The Conjuring 2, directed by James Wan (The Conjuring, Furious 7). The first teaser trailer’s arrived along with a few photos from the horror film, which finds Vera Farmiga reprising her role as Lorraine and Patrick Wilson back as Ed Warren. The cast of the supernatural thriller also includes Frances O’Connor, Lauren Esposito, Patrick McAuley, Benjamin Haigh, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Simon Delaney, Franka Potente, and Simon McBurney.
The original The Conjuring made more than $319 million before exiting theaters. That box office take earned it the second spot on the list of all-time grossing original horror movies, with only The Exorcist performing better in theaters.
The Conjuring 2 opens in theaters on June 10, 2016.
The Plot:
The supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.
