‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’ Trailer: The Case That Ended It All

New Line Cinema wraps up The Conjuring franchise’s stories with Ed and Lorraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, with The Conjuring: Last Rites. The trailer confirms the connection between the couple’s first case and this film’s events, which turned out to be their final investigation.

In addition to Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, this ninth entry in the franchise stars Mia Tomlinson, Ben Hardy, Steve Coulter, Rebecca Calder, Elliot Cowan, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Beau Gadsdon, John Brotherton, and Shannon Kook. Michael Chaves (The Nun II, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) directs, and Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick wrote the screenplay. Producers include James Wan and Peter Safran. Chaves, Johnson-McGoldrick, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Hans Ritter, Natalia Safran, and John Rickard executive produce.

New Line Cinema’s The Conjuring: Last Rites opens in theaters on September 5, 2025.

The behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Eli Born, production designer John Frankish, editors Elliot Greenberg and Gregory Plotkin, visual effects supervisor Scott Edelstein, visual effects producer Eric Bruneau, and costume designer Graham Churchyard. The casting is by Rose Wicksteed and Sophie Kingston-Smith, and Ian Broucek is the music supervisor. Benjamin Wallfisch is the composer.
