A24’s trailer for The Death of Robin Hood says “the legend was a lie” and that everything we think we know about the outlaw hero is wrong. Hugh Jackman, currently in theaters channeling a Neil Diamond tribute artist in Song Sung Blue, takes on the role of the hero and says, “I’ve killed so many. I could not give you a count. It’s a curse.”
The Robin Hood reimagining also stars Jodie Comer (28 Years Later), Bill Skarsgård (IT: Welcome to Derry), Murray Bartlett (Nine Perfect Strangers), and Noah Jupe (Hamnet).
A24 offers this synopsis: “Grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, Robin Hood finds himself gravely injured after a battle he thought would be his last. In the hands of a mysterious woman, he is offered a chance at salvation.”
Michael Sarnoski wrote and directed the drama. Sarnoski’s previous credits include 2021’s Pig starring Nicolas Cage and 2024’s A Quiet Place: Day One with Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn.
