Four longtime friends reunite for a destination wedding in Bleecker Street’s The Fabulous Four. The official trailer introduces the fabulous four from the film’s title, with Bette Midler as the bride-to-be. There’s a little weed, a little sex talk, and Susan Sarandon as a crazy cat lady.
The fab four’s filled out by Megan Mullally and Sheryl Lee Ralph.
“If three’s a crowd, four’s a party! The Fabulous Four is an uproarious comedy about a group of life-long friends (Sarandon, Mullally, and Ralph) who travel to Key West, Florida, to be bridesmaids in the surprise wedding of their best college girlfriend Marilyn (Midler). Over the course of one outrageous trip, sisterhoods are rekindled, the past resurfaces, and there are enough sparks, raunch, and romance to change all their lives in unexpected ways,” reads Bleecker Street’s synopsis.
Jocelyn Moorhouse (The Dressmaker) directs from a screenplay by Anne Marie Allison and Jenna Milly.
The Fabulous Four opens in theaters on July 26, 2024.
