Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) from writer/director Noah Baumbach ahead of the film’s North American debut at the New York Film Festival. The Meyerowitz Stories had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival where the majority of critics awarded it positive reviews. For those who can’t catch it at a festival, Netflix has set an October 13, 2017 limited theatrical release timed with its premiere on the streaming service.
The cast includes Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Elizabeth Marvel, Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson, Grace Van Patten, Adam Driver, Candice Bergen, Judd Hirsch, and Rebecca Miller. Scott Rudin, Baumbach, Lila Yacoub, and Eli Bush served as producers.
The Plot: From writer/director Noah Baumbach, The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) is the emotional, and comic intergenerational tale of adult siblings (Sandler, Stiller, and Marvel) contending with the long shadow their strong-willed father (Hoffman) has cast over their lives.
