What’s Up with The Signal?

The latest marketing email in support of The Signal warned that “continued exposure to The Signal has consequences.” The initial email announcing the trailer was equally as ominious, and kudos to Focus Features’ marketing people who’ve put this campaign together. Given the tone of the emails, it’s impossible not to pay attention to what they’re promoting. And following in the footsteps of the trailer’s release comes the official poster for the June 13, 2014 release.


The Plot:
 
Three college students on a road trip across the Southwest experience a detour: the tracking of a computer genius who has already hacked into MIT and exposed security faults. The trio find themselves drawn to an isolated area. Suddenly everything goes dark. When one of the students, Nic (Brenton Thwaites of The Giver and Maleficent), regains consciousness, he is in a waking nightmare…
