The Thomas Crown Affair Teaser: Michael B. Jordan Directs and Stars in Reimagining

Michael B. Jordan can do anything and with the latest adaptation of screenwriter Alan R. Trustman’s The Thomas Crown Affair, Jordan pulls triple duty. The Oscar-winner serves as director and producer and stars in the titular role. The teaser introduces Jordan’s version of the character, a suave art thief who falls for a sultry insurance investigator, played by Adria Arjona.

The reimagining of the original 1968 film also stars Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, and Pilou Asbæk.

Steve McQueen portrayed the elusive thief in Norman Jewison’s ’68 classic, and Pierce Brosnan starred in director John McTiernan’s 1999 remake. This 2027 iteration features an updated screenplay by Drew Pearce and Jason Hall, with Trustman and Hall also serving as executive producers.

The new The Thomas Crown Affair will open in theaters on March 5, 2027.

Amazon MGM Studios’ synopsis describes Jordan’s version as a “visually breathtaking, sensual, and unexpectedly moving heist thriller, where the most dangerous man in the room is the one nobody’s watching.”

Jordan, Elizabeth Raposo, Marc Toberoff, Patrick McCormick, and Charles Roven are the producers.
