Alexandre Dumas’ classic tale is brought to life again on the big screen in The Three Musketeers, a 3D action film directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and starring Logan Lerman, Ray Stevenson, Matthew Macfadyen, and Luke Evans.

Anderson – no stranger to action films, having directed Mortal Combat, Soldier, Resident Evil, and 2008’s Death Race – says that for this action-intense movie, no stunt doubles were used and he used real swords. The action ante’s been upped, and sparks actually fly when the blades meet.

The Plot: The hot-headed young D’Artagnan (Logan Lerman) joins forces with three rogue Musketeers (Matthew Macfadyen, Luke Evans and Ray Stevenson) in this reboot of Alexandre Dumas’ story. They must stop the evil Richlieu (Christoph Waltz) and face off with Buckingham (Orlando Bloom) and the treacherous Milady (Milla Jovovich).

Luke Evans (‘Aramis’) says the film brings 21st-century technology to a 400-year-old story, and Orlando Bloom calls The Three Musketeers a “real feast for the eyes.” Check out this behind-the-scenes video featuring clips from the action movie as well as interviews with the cast and director:
