Oscar winner Julia Roberts returns to romantic comedies and reunites with her Ocean’s 11 co-star George Clooney in Universal Pictures’ Ticket to Paradise. The two and a half minute trailer introduces Roberts and Clooney as a divorced couple who are forced to pool their efforts to stop their daughter from marrying someone she just met.
The film also reunites Kaitlyn Dever and Billie Lourd from 2019’s critically acclaimed coming-of-age comedy, Booksmart. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again‘s director Ol Park helmed the comedy and co-wrote the screenplay with Daniel Pipski.
Ticket to Paradise was shot in Queensland, Australia and is a Working Title, Smokehouse Pictures, and Red Om Films production.
Smokehouse Pictures’ George Clooney and Grant Heslov produce with Red Om Films’ Julia Roberts, Lisa Roberts Gillan, and Marisa Yeres Gill. Sarah Harvey, Deborah Balderstone, and Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner also produce.
Universal Pictures will release Ticket to Paradise in theaters on October 21, 2022.
