‘Wonder Park’ Animated Film Unveils a New Teaser Trailer

Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Movies has released the first photo and a new teaser trailer for the animated family-friendly film, Wonder Park. The two-minute trailer shows a young girl discovering a theme park hidden in the woods and run by magical talking animals. However, the new two-minute trailer for the 2019 animated feature film doesn’t explain why the film’s called Wonder Park while the theme park revealed in the trees is named Wonderland. (Even the lead character in the trailer references Wonderland.)

“A lost land…a magical place just waiting for someone special to bring it back to life.”

The PG-rated film was written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows) from a story by Applebaum, Nemec, and Robert Gordon. Appelbaum, Nemec, and Kendra Haaland served as producers, with Karen Rosenfelt and Don Hahn executive producing. The studio hasn’t credited the film to a director after the original helmer, first-time director Dylan Brown, was fired in January 2018 following complaints of inappropriate and unwanted conduct.

Production on Wonder Park began back in 2014 under the original title Amusement Park, which makes more sense than Wonder Park. (Even the lead character in the trailer references Wonderland.)

The Wonder Land voice casts includes Jennifer Garner (The Tribes of Palos Verdes), Matthew Broderick (Rules Don’t Apply), John Oliver (Last Week Tonight), Mila Kunis (A Bad Moms Christmas), Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live), Ken Jeong (Bob’s Burgers), Norbert Leo Butz (Bloodline), Brianna Denski, and Ken Hudson Campbell.

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies have set a March 15, 2019 theatrical release date for Wonder Park.

The Plot: Wonder Park tells the story of a magnificent amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive.
