The first batch of performers have been announced for the 2017 CMA Awards to be held on November 8, 2017 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The 51st Annual CMA Awards will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, with Underwood included on the list of the first round of performers. Garth Brooks, Brothers Osborne, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Jon Pardi, Chris Stapleton, and Thomas Rhett are also confirmed to hit the stage and perform during Country music’s biggest night.
16-time CMA Awards winner Alan Jackson and 2017 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee is also set to perform for Country music fans.
This year’s awards show will be directed by Gary Halvorson and will be executive produced by Robert Deaton. CMA members will determine the winners, with final ballots due on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 6pm CT.
Garth Brooks picked up his 12th CMA Entertainer of the Year nomination this year, and he holds the title in that category with five wins. Brothers Osborne earned their first nomination in the Music Video category this year, and Luke Bryan is competing for the fifth time in the Entertainer of the Year category. Three-time CMA Awards winner Eric Church is nominated for three awards including Male Vocalist, and Miranda Lambert collected five nominations, bringing her career total to 44.
Little Big Town was recognized with four nominations including in the Music Video category for “Better Man,” while Old Dominion picked up two nominations. Jon Pardi is competing in the New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year categories, Chris Stapleton could win in the Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist, and Album of the Year categories, and Thomas Rhett earned his first nominations in the Musical Event, Music Video, and Male Vocalist categories. Carrie Underwood will be trying to add a fifth win in the Female Vocalist category.
