Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas will be taking the stage to perform on the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. Lovato’s confirmed to perform her hit single “Cool for the Summer” and Jonas will be joined by Tove Lo on “Close.” Previously announced performers include Justin Bieber, DNCE, The Go-Go’s, Shawn Mendes and P!nk.
Ciara and Ludacris will be hosting this year’s Billboard Music Awards set for May 22nd. ABC will air the awards show beginning at 8pm ET / 5pm PT, marking the first time the West Coast will be able to watch the show live. The 2016 show will take place in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.
Jonas’ first solo album was released in November 2015 and featured the hit singles “Jealous,” “Chains” and “Levels.” He’ll be releasing his new album Last Year was Complicated on June 10th and the first single “Close” hit the charts in March. Lovato’s fifth album Confident hit stores on October 16, 2015, with “Cool for the Summer” hitting #1 on iTunes in 35 countries.
Jonas and Lovato are partners in Safehouse Records, described as an “artist-centric” label. They will also be touring North America together with the Future Now: The Tour kicking off on June 24th in Florida.
