Justin Bieber Lands #1 Spot with ‘Believe

Justin Bieber’s fans didn’t let him down, propelling his new album, Believe, to not only the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart but also setting a new 2012 record for the most albums sold over its first week in release. Bieber overtook Madonna’s MDNA to post this year’s best new release numbers.

Believe is the pop singer’s fourth #1 album which, according to Billboard, is the “most chart-toppers for any act in a two-and-a-half-year span since Bieber made his chart debut in December 2009.” His previous chart-toppers are My World 2.0, Never Say Never: The Remixes, and Under the Mistletoe.

Bieber’s set to release the second single off of Believe, “As Long As You Love Me,” on July 9th.
