Katy Perry Prizmatic World Tour Special Set for Epix

Hot on the heels of Katy Perry’s Super Bowl performance that had #LeftShark trending on Twitter comes news that Epix is set to air the TV premiere of the two-hour concert special Katy Perry: The Prismatic World Tour on March 28, 2015 at 8pm ET/PT. Baz Halpin directed the special which features Perry’s biggest hits as well as “eye-popping theatrics” (according to Epix).

The concert special will air during a free preview weekend on Epix and will be available on Epix.com, through the Epix app, and will stream on Epix and Katy Perry’s Facebook pages.

“Katy put so much into this show.  Her explosive performances, fiery artistry, and fun sense of style never fail to delight audiences.  Showcasing talent of this caliber is what EPIX is all about,” said Mark Greenberg, President and CEO, EPIX.  “We are committed to offering our viewers the highest level of programming– across all platforms, and providing them with front row access to the most exciting music concerts touring the globe today.”

“After over 100 shows and counting on The Prismatic World Tour, I’m thrilled to now be partnering with EPIX to share this incredible show with everyone at home in the U.S.,” added Perry. “If you thought the 12 1/2 minutes at the Super Bowl were a feast for the eyes, imagine what you’ll get in this 2-hour show!”

The tour is currently underway with stops scheduled throughout South America, Asia, and Europe this year.
