Hot on the heels of MTV’s reveal of the new Moonman statue comes the release of the nominees for the Best Song of the Summer at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. The winner will be determined by fans voting online via Twitter and Instagram (the hashtags are listed below the nominees), with the Best Song of the Summer winner announced during the MTV Video Music Awards pre-show.
The MTV Video Music Awards will take place on Sunday, August 30th at 9pm and will air live on the East Coast. Miley Cyrus is this year’s host and MTV’s announced The Weeknd will be performing on the awards show. Presenters and additional musical acts will be announced closer to the air date.
