One Direction released a new music video from ‘History,’ surprising fans with a video that looks back at the band’s career starting with Simon Cowell putting them together on The X Factor. The video for the third single off of the group’s Made in the A.M. album shows a montage of black and white clips from throughout the years, interspersed with clips of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson performing the song. The video ends with the guys heading off stage separately, reinforcing the fact they’re now on indefinite hiatus.
Made in the A.M. is One Direction’s fifth album and was released on November 13, 2015. The album was the group’s first without Zayn Malik who left the band to pursue a career on his own. The release of ‘History’ followed the successful, chart-topping releases of ‘Drag Me Down’ and ‘Perfect.’
