Some of the songs written for the American Idol winners are just utterly forgettable. You hear them on the show and then they’re quickly over and out of your head. Fortunately, that’s not the case for new season 11 winner Phillip Phillips’ coronation song.

“Home” debuted in the #2 spot on the digital sales chart and sold 278,000 digital copies, according to Billboard, making Phillips the new title holder for AI winners. “Home” was able to push David Cook’s 2008 hit, “The Time of My Life,” down into second place on the digital sales chart record for an Idol winner’s coronation song.

“Home” also earned Phillips the #10 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. Billboard reports “Home” marks the first AI victory song to make the top 10 in four years (Cook’s “The Time of My Life” did so in ’08).
