10 Animated Short Films Advance in the Oscar Race

44 animated short films qualified to be considered for the 84th Academy Awards, but only 10 are now moving on. The Academy announced that the following 10 animated films have made the cut and will proceed to the next step in the Oscar voting process:

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, William Joyce and Brandon Oldenburg, directors
 
I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat, Matthew O’Callaghan, director and Sam Register, executive producer
 
La Luna, Enrico Casarosa, director
 
Luminaris, Juan Pablo Zaramella, director
 
Magic Piano, Martin Clapp, director and Hugh Welchman, producer
 
A Morning Stroll, Grant Orchard, director and Sue Goffe, producer
 
Paths of Hate, Damian Nenow, director
 
Specky Four-Eyes, Jean-Claude Rozec, director and Mathieu Courtois, producer
 
Wild Life, Amanda Forbis and Wendy Tilby, directors
