Pollstar reports Irish rockers remain super popular, with their 2011 tour sitting at the top of the chart as the highest-grossing concert tour of the year (helped in part by the inclusion of performances originally scheduled for 2010 but pushed into 2011 because of Bono’s back problems). According to Pollstar, U2’s 2011 concert tour grossed a whopping $231.9 million from the sale of 2,387,535 tickets.
Performers making up the rest of the Top 10 of 2011 are:

– Bon Jovi with $148.8 million
– Taylor Swift at $104.2 million
– Roger Waters at $103.6 million
– Elton John at $102.7 million
– Rihanna at $90 million
– Kenny Chesney at $84.6 million
– Sade at $83.3 million
– Paul McCartney at $79.2 million
