The largest genre film festival in the United States, Fantastic Fest, has announced this year’s winners. Fantastic Fest specializes in “horror, fantasy, sci-fi, action and just plain fantastic movies from all around the world” and the competitive categories, of course, reflect the focus of the festival. Among the films showcased at this year’s Fantastic Fest were movies featuring Cuban zombies and time-traveling samurai, and the juries (made up of filmmakers, critics, festival directors and showbiz people) had a tough time deciding on this year’s pack of winners.
