Eight Shorts Make the Oscar Shortlist

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released the official list of eight films that will be contending for the five spots available in the Documentary Short Subject category at the 2013 Academy Awards. 31 films were submitted, eight made the cut, and a minimum of three / max of five shorts will ultimately be competing for the Oscar.
 
The nominees for the 85th Academy Awards will be announced on January 10, 2013. The Oscars will take place on February 24, 2013 at The Dolby Theatre™ at Hollywood & Highland Center.

“Kings Point,” Kings Point Documentary, Inc.

“The Perfect Fit,” SDI Productions Ltd.
