ABC just made a few surprise renewals along with the expected batch of 2014-2015 renewals. Despite not generating the ratings ABC had expected, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be sticking around for a second season as will the new dramatic series Resurrection. It was no surprise at all that the network is also ordering up more seasons of Once Upon a Time, Revenge, Scandal, Modern Family, Castle, and Grey’s Anatomy which will head into season 11 without Sandra Oh. And while The Goldbergs wasn’t a lock on a renewal order, the network has faith the series will grow and has confirmed it will be sticking around for another year.

Modern Family and The Goldbergs are the only half hour comedies earning 2014-2015 orders thus far.
