The sequel to 2012’s horror hit has found 25 of its directors. However, unlike the first film, ABCs of Death 2 isn’t just including horror filmmakers to handle one of the letters of the alphabet. This year’s diverse group of directors includes Julian Barratt (of The Mighty Boosh), The Catechism Catalysm‘s Todd Rohal, Canadian Steven Kostanski, Cuba’s Alejandro Brugués, UK commercial director Jim Hosking, Japanese monster-maker Hajime Ohata, and short film director Chris Nash.

Other directors of ABCs of Death 2 include Álex de la Iglesia (Day of the Beast), Rodney Ascher (Room 237), Bill Plympton, Erik Matti (On the Job), Kristina Buozyte & Bruno Samper (Vanishing Waves), Sion Sono (Cold Fish), Vincenzo Natali (Splice), Larry Fessenden (The Last Winter), Marcus Dunstan (The Collection), and Julien Maury & Alexandre Bustillo (Inside).

E.L. Katz (Cheap Thrills), Jen & Sylvia Soska (American Mary), Aharon Keshales & Navot Papushado (Rabies), Julian Gilbey (A Lonely Place to Die), Dennison Ramalho (Ninjas), Lancelot Imasuen, Jerome Sable (The Legend of Beaver Dam), and Robert Morgan (Bobby Yeah) have also come onboard to direct.

In addition, producers Ant Timpson, Tim League, and Magnet Releasing are once again hosting a 26th Director Competition in which one fan-made entry will be included in the feature film. Filmmakers can submit their own one to three-minute “M is for…” segment.

Voting will be done via social media as well as with the jury made up of ABCs of Death 2‘s directors, producers Timpson and League, associate producer Ted Geoghegan, Magnolia Pictures president Eamonn Bowles, Entertainment Weekly Senior Editor Clark Collis, Horror-Movie-A-Day founder and Badass Digest contributor Brian Collins, author Grady Hendrix, and Fangoria Managing Editor Michael Gingold.

For more info on the competition, visit 26th.abcsofdeathpart2.com. All entries must be in by October 31, 2013; the winner will be revealed on December 15th. ABCs of Death 2 will be released in 2014.
